2019-2020 Academy Program Registration

Parents of Prospective Academy Players –

This year prospective new players entering the Academy Program (either from Strike FC Recreational Programs or outside soccer clubs/programs), will be invited to attend Academy training session(s) in an effort to provide a greater understanding for players and parents as to the Strike FC Academy experience. Players are invited to attend Academy Practices between May 20th and June 6th. This will allow our staff the opportunity to see your child in a realistic Academy environment, as well as allow both our coaches and parents the opportunity to evaluate the player’s enjoyment in that arena.

Therefore, in order to ensure the administrative end of the evaluation is attended to, NEW PLAYERS will need to fill out and bring with them the Strike FC Academy Player Information Form to the first training session they attend. Existing Academy Players do not need to fill out this form. Once the player has attended a training session(s) (please, no more than three), they will be prompted via email by our Academy Director as to the next steps in the registration process.

THIS IS NOT A TRYOUT!!!

There are a few reasons for our Academy Evaluations, but to be clear, we are not trying out players with the intention of cuts. Rather, we need to evaluate a few things (as do you), in order to make sure the Academy Program is the right fit for your son or daughter. First, we need to make sure the child enjoys the Academy environment. It does not benefit your son or daughter if they do not enjoy the developmental soccer program we have within the Academy Program, and the last thing we want for our youngest generation of soccer players is to detract from their love of the game! Second, in the Academy Program, we create teams of players with similar ability levels. This creates a more balanced, competitive environment for games within our Academy League, and has had an enormous impact on the enjoyment of players and their developmental progress. Lastly, we want parents to see the difference between the Recreational Program and the Academy Program as it pertains to the training environment with our experienced, licensed staff coaches.

All Academy Practices are held at Nagawaukee Park in Delafield, right off of HWY 83. Because this is a Waukesha County Park, if you do not have a park sticker, there is a small fee for parking (Academy fees include one park sticker per family).

PLEASE NOTE THAT AGE GROUP BIRTH YEARS HAVE CHANGED.  PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S BIRTH YEAR FOR CORRECT TIME AND DAY FOR EVALUATIONS.

2019-2020 Age Group Days & Times:

2011, 2012, 2013 Birth Years Mondays & Wednesdays – 5:15-6:30 PM

2010 Birth Years Boys Mondays & Wednesdays – 6:30-8:00 PM

2010 Birth Years Girls Tuesdays & Thursdays – 5:30-7:00 PM

Evaluations for players from outside of the club will take place May 28th to June 6th, following the above time frames. Anyone attending these sessions must fill out and bring with them the Strike FC Academy Player Information Form to the first training session they attend.
